Extended Hext Family Website
Family Language
Mar, Bar, Norah, Molly, Hester and Douglas Taylor were brought up to be very close and from what we have gleaned - 2 generations down - had great fun together playing all sorts of games. Their father a Vicar always encouraged them to participate in all sorts of activities. The girls went to Sutton High School while Douglas went to Wellington School. As children they created their own language which has lived on in parts with subsequent generations. Even in The Argentine some words are still used among family members!

In 2018 we created a tea towel displaying some of the words in honour of Peggy Hext (nee Lister)'s 90th birthday. If you would like one, please contact Caroline her daughter on greggogirl2000@yahoo.co.uk as she has lots left!
